2022 Call For Presenters
Theme: Own the Past, Become the Change

The Ohio Chapter of Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (OCRID) is seeking presenters for our annual conference 2022 theme of “Own the Past, Become the Change.”

The conference will be held at the Greater Columbus Convention Center June 16-19, 2022 in Columbus, OH.

OCRID has been given the amazing opportunity to host the RID Region III Conference this year, and we are looking for interactive and motivated presenters! We are hoping to provide a variety of topics related to our theme. We are looking for engaging presenters, and will be offering both 2-hour and 3-hour workshop sessions.

We are also looking for a Keynote and/or Endnote presenter (one hour each), that would be able to provide a cohesive PPO workshop. *Note: A PPO workshop must involve raising awareness of a social justice topic, as well as call for self reflection and an active response from those in attendance.

We ask that all workshops be presented in ASL. If you feel it necessary for your workshop to be presented in Spoken English, please explain your reasoning in the last question.

To be considered, presenters should submit workshop proposals via this form by January 15, 2022. You are welcome to submit multiple workshop proposals, but please submit each workshop separately. All presenters will be confirmed and notified by February 28, 2022 to allow for ample time for CEU processing and preparation.

Presenter Compensation includes: $100/Presentation hour; Airfare travel expenses up to $200; Mileage reimbursement of $0.56/mile up to $200; Lodging may be provided depending on schedule. Lodging will not be provided for presenters who live less than 50 miles from the GCCC.

For questions, email r3presenters@ocrid.org.

We will be following all CDC guidelines during this Conference.
