The WISEST Youth Council Pen Pal program is an initiative for High School students to connect with mentors in University. Junior Pen Pals are required to send as respond to a minimum of two email exchanges per week. These emails are intended to answer some of your questions  regarding different opportunities and resources that may be available to you while creating a safe, comfortable and  educational place for the both of you. The senior pen pal has signed up with the intent of helping to guide you, and as someone who is interested in the senior pen pal’s post secondary education it is your job to create purposeful emails with questions. Creating a safe space and a friendship built on trust is important, and each interaction should be built on kindness, inclusivity and trust.

Email is the main form of communication - please use a current address that you check frequently (please double check to ensure there are no typos as your confirmation email will be sent to this address). If your school email address screens external emails, please use a personal email address. The timelines for next years program is TBD.
