Hospitality students are required to submit an advising form to have classes for the upcoming semester(s) unlocked in order to register. This includes culinary courses on your degree plan; please do not contact the culinary department to unlock these classes for you. Introductory courses do not require a petition in order to register.
Once the advising form is submitted, it will be reviewed by a departmental advisor. Courses will be unlocked and you will receive a confirmation email. If there are any concerns about your course selection we will contact you via email. Please be mindful of when you submit the form and allow time for processing. Please do not submit an advising form multiple times with the same courses requested.

FDNS 1301-Intro to Foods: Please note this course requires a Food Handler’s Certificate. CHEF 1205 may be taken prior or concurrently. Students must have a uniform (https://cht.austincc.edu/cularts/uniform-and-tools/) and must complete orientation prior to class (https://cht.austincc.edu/cularts/culinary-arts-orientation/). A toolkit and name tag will be provided the first day of class and must be returned upon course completion. Please contact instructor with any questions.
