Science in the Kitchen-Students will learn the process behind turning whole grains into Pizza. They will compare seeds, grind the grain, mix the dough, prepare the pizza, and then bake. Along the way we will discuss the chemical processes that are going on and touch on food safety.

Movement Games- Come join the PE staff in the gym for some fun socially distanced movement activities!

Cooking Life Skills- Students are going to be able to make at least 1 to 2 recipes depending on the time. They will have to follow directions, measure ingredients, and participate in a sit down group meal with conversation cards.

Da Vinci Code Geocaching- Can you decode the history phrase first by using handheld GPS to locate clues? Join Ms. Kirk, Mr. Pullen, Ms. Beard, and Mrs. Jones as they lead you through this adventure.

Forensic Files- We are planning to do an activity simulating the cooling temperature of a body and determining the time of “death”. We will be using potatoes and graphing calculators to work through this forensic activity. The name of this activity is “Murder in the First Degree-The Death of Mr. Spud”. I have also attached the pdf for this below.

Canjo Building' and Ice Cream Fixin'- Join the CTE teachers in exploring music and food! You will be making your very own ‘Canjo’ and homemade ice-cream. Use woodshop skills to build your own instrument. Learn about the culture of southern bluegrass music. Followed by using science principles to make ice cream in a bag.

Fun Food Friday- Join us and learn how to cook inexpensive healthy meals for you and your family. We will go over cooking safety, meal planning and eating what we make. This time we will learn how to make Veggie and Chicken Stir Fry!
