Habitat for Humanity Ministry Facts

Church of the Resurrection Habitat Ministry, now in its eighth year, is a partnership with Habitat Mid-Ohio.

The ministry serves as partner on builds, providing financial support and volunteers. All of the funds we raise go directly to the $10,000 per house required to support Habitat at the partnership level. Habitat for Humanity is a non-profit, ecumenical Christian housing ministry.

It is a hand up, not a hand out because Habitat Families:

• Assist with their home builds by providing 250 sweat-equity hours.
• Must attend a 9-week financial management class that teaches budgeting and financial planning.
• Have an income requirement, and are responsible for payments on a zero-percent interest mortgage.

Habitat for Humanity has demonstrated a positive impact in Central Ohio, building homes and strengthening communities, with low foreclosure rates of partner families.
