2022 Western Nova Scotia Exhibition Baby Contest Registration Form
8th Annual Baby Contest
 Wednesday, Aug 3rd, 2022
 @ 2:30 pm – Arena 2

Please remember judging babies is not easy because all babies are adorable!
This is a fun contest, which should not be taken too serious.

Age Groups (on or before Aug 1st, 2022):
birth-6 months, 7 - 12 months, 13-24 months and 25-36 months inclusive

Rules:
- Contestants must be supervised at all times.
- One adult will accompany each contestant on stage.  Live animals are not allowed to accompany contestants.
- Dress is summer casual preferably in an outfit that brings out their personality.
- A total of 10 babies per age group will be accepted (we try to split evenly between boys and girls)
- Must arrive 15 mins prior to contest for a registration check-in.
- Judging is based on Baby's Physical Features, Baby’s Personalities and Behavior, Baby’s Unique Talents/Cute Traits, and Baby’s Reaction to Crowd and begins as soon as you step on stage
- The judges' decisions are final.  Score sheets will not be given out.

How the Contest Will Work: Each baby will be introduced individually using the information handed in at time of registration. Adult & baby will proceed on stage and remain on stage while baby's information is being read.  Babies may sit, stand, walk or be carried on stage, but the adult must have a hand on them at all times as the stage will be raised off the ground. The judging system is a numeric system that gives a numeric value in four categories: Baby’s Physical Features, Baby’s Personalities and Behavior, Baby’s Unique Talents/Cute Traits, and Baby’s Reaction to Crowd. There are two judges that judge independently with both scores added together to make the total score.  After the judges have finished, the emcee will call the contestants from a particular age group onto the stage to hand out the prizes. All babies will receive a participation ribbon. One grand prize will be awarded in each category.

EVERYONE ACCOMPANYING BABIES IN THE COMPETITION MUST PAY ADMISSION TO THE EXHIBITION INCLUDING THE PARENTS OF THE CHILD.
REMEMBER THIS IS A FUN CONTEST and for safety reasons BABY & GUARDIAN MUST REMAIN TOGETHER AT ALL TIMES

Please prepare and pass in a short blurb that will be read as your child is on stage.  This may include, but is not limited to, who the child’s parents/siblings are, date of birth, town of residence, pets, what your child likes to do, your child's special activities, qualities, and/or interests. A blurb example: This is Henry David Jones . He is a blue eyed beauty born on Dec 17th, 2021. He lives in Yarmouth with his mom Julie and dad, David. He also lives with an older sister Lisa who is 5. They have a cat named Boots and a golden lab called Muffin.  Henry has a favorite purple stuffed bunny and loves to play in the exersaucer.  He is just starting to stand on his own so pretty soon he'll be walking which means he'll be able to play outside in the grass and enjoy the summer weather. Thank you for coming today, Henry. *
