Class Introduction
Toxins are one of the major determinants of health and we are constantly been exposed to different types of toxins everyday. These toxins can have systemic impacts on our body and result in a variety of health issues. Cancer, autoimmune diseases and many chronic health conditions are associated with chronic toxin exposure and high toxin load.

In this class series we are going to discuss the most common types of toxins we are dealing with in our everyday life - heavy metals, environmental hormones, pesticides, herbicides, mycotoxins, and mental emotional toxins. We'll cover the common sources of toxins, their health impacts and how to minimize our exposures to toxins.

We'll also discuss ways to keep our organs of detoxification healthy, and diet and lifestyle patterns to help support a "cleaner" body and mind.

Environmental toxins are external toxins that can cause damage to our brain and our mind, while imbalanced neurotransmitters, negative thoughts and emotions can be internal "toxins" that affect our mental emotional health. In this class, we are going to discuss diet and lifestyle patterns that are either toxic or healthy for our brain and our mind.
