Michigan We the People State Finals and Showcase Registration - January 2020

The 2020 We the People State Finals will be held on Friday, January 10, 2020 at the Michigan Capitol Complex. Please indicate your intent to participate by completing this Registration Form by November 16, 2019. Please have fees submitted by December 10, 2019.

❐ Competition Team (Schools are in compliance with the rules and regulations which govern the Center for Civic Education’s national finals competition. The Michigan State Champion received an automatic bid for national finals.) Or

MCCE offers two pathways for participation - Competition and Showcase. Competition and showcase schools are both assessed by the same judges and receive scores. Competition Schools must participate in all six units to be eligible to be selected to advance to the National We the People Competition. Showcase Schools are those with fewer than six units (or have other extenuating circumstances which may be in conflict with the national rules for participation). Showcase teams are still eligible to receive Unit Awards.
