Vendor Agreement

Location: The Barn at Aspen Acres- 11011 Kellem Lane, Spearfish, SD 57783

Vendor Fees:

10' x 10' indoor booth space Winter Makers Market & Vendor Fair (Jan. 16-17): $75


Payment is due for accepted vendors via check (mail to PO Box 1057, Spearfish, SD 57783) no later than one week after vendor approval. We can process a fee collection via a credit card with a 3.5% convenience fee added to the invoice. Invoices will be emailed as soon as the application is approved and the table number is assigned. Please email events@blackhillsbarn.com with payment questions.

Tables:
You must utilize the 8' x 3' table and two chairs that will be provided for each booth. We will not move the tables


Electricity:
Electricity is available but needs to be mentioned in this application otherwise you will be placed where there is no access to power. If you are approved for access to power you must bring your own extension cords as we do not provide any.

Vendor Rules and FAQ:

• You must make arrangements with the Barn at Aspen Acres if you are unable to be on-premises the entire event time. The market will run on Saturday, Jan. 16th from 12:00 pm - 8:00 pm and Sunday 9:00 am-1:00 pm.
• Set up time: Beginning at 9:00 am the day of the event (Saturday, Jan.16th). You will be allowed into the venue one hour prior to the start time on Sunday, Jan. 17th to make any re-arrangements.
• All vendors are responsible for collecting and paying sales tax (4.5%). Please see the South Dakota Department of Revenue for information on how to collect and remit sales tax.  http://www.dor.sd.gov/
- Vendors must be selling some type of merchandise; not a service, for this event.
• There is WiFi/Internet available at the location but may be limited with the extra load from the number of vendors, so please plan accordingly.
• Items are NOT allowed to be hung on the Barn's walls. We ask that you refrain from using staples, tape, nails, or harmful adhesives on the walls, ceilings, and furnishings of the Barn.  Vendors are responsible for any wall damage. No helium balloons may be used for decor.
• Per South Dakota fire code, no open flames.
• Children under 12 must be supervised.
• No alcoholic beverages are allowed except for those sold by the venue, including in the parking lot or in cars on Aspen Acres property.
• Vaping, of any kind, is not allowed in the venue. Chewing tobacco or any other drug is prohibited. No smoking inside or outside of the designated smoking area (outside).
• In the event of inclement weather, we will do our best to reschedule the event in a timely fashion. No fees will be refunded as The Barn is not responsible for acts of God or inclement weather.
• The Barn at Aspen Acres is not responsible for items left unattended, or for lost or damaged items.
• You are required to provide additional promotional photos, a short personal bio, story, facts, etc., for us to post on the Barn at Aspen Acres Facebook page and Event. The more interesting the material you provide, the better the publicity. This is separate from the application process and can be sent through email (events@blackhillsbarn.com).
• We ask that you use all available methods (email, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, snail mail, etc.) to help us promote the event. Together, we can create an amazing event to unite our community. This is a collaborative event and participation is expected.
• Value-Added Food Items - It is the vendor’s responsibility to be familiar with the local, state, and federal regulations and permits that govern the products which they sell.
