PRE-REQUISITES
1) Be a baptized member, in regular standing, of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
2) Be at least 16 years of age to start the Master Guide curriculum and at least 18  years of age at investiture.
3) Complete a DBS check.
4) Complete the SDA Keeping the Church Family Safe training course.
5) With your mentor, prayerfully discuss what it means to be a Master Guide and why you want to become a Master Guide. Include a written one-page report or video in your Portfolio summarising your discussion.
6) Complete each of the following CMT Basic Staff Training workshops:
• Club Ministry: Purpose & History
• Club Organization
• Programming & Planning
• Club Outreach
• Ceremonies & Drill
• Developmental Growth
• Introduction to Teaching
• Medical, Risk Management and Child Safety Issues

2024 Training Dates
3rd March OR 7th April - Orientation Day

10th - 12th May - Training Weekend #1

14th - 16th June - Training Weekend #2

12th - 14th July - Training Weekend #3

13th - 15th September - Training Weekend #4

You are required to attend one of the orientation days and ALL of the training weekends. If you are not able to do this please contact Carolyn Daniel (cdani@sky.com) to discuss this before submitting your application.
REGISTRATION
In order to register on the MIT Programme you must:

1) Complete and submit this application form.
2) Go to www.secpathfinder.shop to pay the registration fee.

Please note that you must pay your fee when you register.

Payment for the course is by Individual Payment via the Shop Website. If Churches choose to subsidise individual candidates, we recommend that the individual pay the full amount on the shop website and then claim from the local church the necessary subsidies. 

If payment is not received you will not be able to commence the programme.
FEES
Course registration fee is £185.

PAYMENT TERMS

£185 - To be paid at the time of submitting your application

OR

£100 - To be paid before Sunday 3rd March 2024
£85 - To be paid before Sunday 7th April 2024

Included in this payment is the cost of the training, your folder and dividers, one M.I.T t-shirt & one M.I.T sweatshirt.

Full payment must be received by Sunday 7th April 2024. Non payment of fees will mean that resources cannot be ordered and you will not be able to attend the training weekends. 

Please note the following:
  • You are expected to complete all of your training in 2024.
  • Fees are non-refundable.
  • On completion of the programme you will be required to purchase a Master Guide scarf & woggle, the Master Guide epaulettes, the Master Guide Chords, any honours that you have completed and any other insignia that is required to complete the uniform. Further information about these costs will be made available at the appropriate time. The cost of these items is not included in the registration fee.
