Poetry Workshop, December 8, 2019 — RSVP Form
ABOUT:
During this poetry workshop, we will explore two of the basic building blocks of poetry: imagery and metaphor. We will explore how a poem works and how the devices used in poetry can enhance our writing across all genres. Poetry does not have to be hard or intimidating! —it can be a playful opportunity to pay closer attention to our daily lives and listen for the ways that the world speaks back to us. This workshop will include teaching time, writing exercises, and reading some contemporary poetry together. No poetry experience required.
Instructor: Libby Kurz

Her first poetry chapbook, The Heart Room, was released this year with Finishing Line Press. A veteran of the US Air Force, she now resides on the coast of Virginia with her family.
