Session Description (Saturday, May 18, 9am-12pm):
How might mathematics bring us together through heart, place and shared experiences? Join us to explore a new, strengths-based, precalculus curriculum grounded in Arizona and the Southwestern U.S. as place and identity. We will engage with our culturally affirming contexts, work through examples, share perspectives, reflect on opportunities for student flourishing, and more. Our community of practice participants/teachers will share their experiences, hoping you might join us next fall!
Presenters: Guada Lozano, Maya Lanzetta, Melissa McRae, Cathy Yslas, and Nick Witt (UArizona Project FAMILIA and Projects REEDS)
