For Namas Nr 4, UK based theatre company DANTE OR DIE will be delivering a workshop introducing students & professional artists to their unique approach to creating site-specific theatre. The workshop will involve theatre-makers in the development of new site-specific work in progress performances at Kaunas 5th Fort.

Founded in 2006 by Co-Artistic Directors Terry O'Donovan and Daphna Attias, Dante or Die is a nationally recognised theatre company making intimate site-specific performances that interrogate contemporary stories and celebrate the human condition. Their work is characterised by humorous and poignant storytelling in everyday locations, encouraging audiences to reframe how they see local spaces. Their productions tour nationally & internationally, working in collaboration with community partners. Participation and training are woven into all their projects creating inspiring opportunities for local people - who are often engaging for the first time - to develop skills in performance and producing, and ensuring they support emerging professional creatives and producers. To date, they've transformed hotel rooms, swimming pools, and cafes. Hundreds of participants have taken part in theatre productions, and they've run thousands of hours of development workshops and residencies in person, online and as far afield as Hong Kong...

The workshop will offer valuable skills in directing, performing & producing work in unusual space and experience of collaborating directly with an internationally renowned company. Workshop facilitators - Dante or Die Associates' Lucy Dear and Fiona Watson.

The workshop will take place on 12-17th of September, at KINAS "Panemunė" and Kaunas 5th Fort. The workshop will take place in English.
