Shamokin Area School District Reopening Parent Survey
As we get closer to the start of school, we are asking all parents to complete the survey below.  With the recent adoption of our Reopening Health and Safety Plan, parents will be given the opportunity to choose what is best for their child's educational needs.  The current plan is to open the buildings 100% for in-person instruction but give you the parent the option of keeping your child at home to experience a live virtual option as well.  (To help assist those who are unsure in making this decision, we will be conducting a virtual town hall meeting on Tuesday, July 28, at 7 pm.  More information will follow in the upcoming days.)  All parents are asked to please complete this survey by Monday, August 3, 2020.

Based on our recently adopted Health and Safety Plan you will have two (2) choices available to meet your child's educational needs.  These choices will allow you the flexibility of in-person instruction or keeping your child at home to experience a live virtual option.  Option 1 below is 100% In-Person Instruction (Child will attend school in person using the social distancing and personal protective equipment enhancements made by SASD.)  Option 2 below is 100% Online Instruction (Child will attend school remotely and experience a live virtual classroom with their Shamokin Area teachers.)  Each family will be required to commit to one option by the first of each month (Start of school, October 1, November 1, December 1, etc.).  Each child is expected to stay within the chosen option for that month.  We do realize that this is a challenging time for everyone.  To help assist, we will be conducting a virtual town hall meeting next week (Tuesday, July 28 at 7 pm) to answer your questions before you choose.  More information will follow in the upcoming days. *
