Our fall dinner speaker is Dr. Julius Mallette who will give a lecture on the life of Dr. Andrew Arthur Best. Dr. Best was a civil rights leader and physician in eastern North Carolina for over half a century. Dr. Mallette received his medical degree at East Carolina University. He did residency training in obstetrics and gynecology at Meharry Medical College–Hubbard Hospital and at East Carolina University–Pitt County Memorial Hospital.
