Mindfulness & Connecting With Nature
Themed Mindfulness Practice Groups are multi-week programs that explore mindfulness as it relates to specific topics in our lives. Participating in a Practice Group will also give you access to 1:1 support from the instructor, access code for an app, and additional resources and tips to support your home practice in between sessions.

This 5-week Practice Group will explore how mindfulness can help us to connect with nature as a way to support wellbeing. We will learn meditation practices for connecting with natural elements (earth, air, fire, water) as a way of feeling a greater sense of belonging as part of the natural world. We will meet outdoors and explore methods including sitting meditation, mindful walking, sensory awareness practice, and contemplative observation of the natural world.

We will meet 3-4pm pm EST on the following dates:  10/27, 11/3, 11/10, 11/17, and 12/1 (skipping Thanksgiving week.) People tend to get a lot more out of mindfulness practice if they stay with a practice group like this from beginning to end, therefore attendance at all 5 sessions is required. Creating dedicated time and space in your calendar will help to build the habit of practicing mindfulness in your life on a regular basis and support you in continuing after the program ends.

We will meet at either
- The Radcliffe Sunken Garden (at Appian Way & Garden St, if you enter HGSE into Google Maps you'll be right next to it) If you you aren't familiar with this outdoor space, it's a hidden gem on campus! A quick walk from most houses & the Yard and a nice place to explore if you haven't visited.
OR
-  If the weather isn't suitable for outdoor practice, we will meet at the Serenity Room at Grays Hall, and you will be notified of the location change via email.
