Nominations for ESJ's Board of Directors 2023
ESJ is accepting nominations for five Board Director positions. Self nominations are accepted.  Brief interviews will be conducted in the beginning of June via Zoom. An election will be held in mid-June. 2023. Therefore, May 22, 2023 is the nomination deadline. 

Board Directors play an important role in the governance of Educators for Social Justice. Board Directors are elected for a three-year term. They are expected to be a member in good standing with ESJ. They will attend Board meetings and actively contribute to the governance of the organization, actively participate in planning events, promote the financial health and stability of the organization, serve as a Committee Chair, and be committed to social justice education.

Please briefly describe the nominee's qualifications for this position. Keep in mind ESJ's mission statement:  Our mission is to develop and support socially just, equitable, and sustainable practices in schools and communities. We are committed to connecting educators across the lifespan and building networks to mobilize resources to promote progressive change. We work to promote the idea that developing socially just curriculum is a form of activism.
