Community Garden Lottery

A limited number of garden plots will be available to year-round Nantucket residents at the Land Bank’s Hinsdale Park located at 50 Old South Road. The lottery system will be random with priority given to households without access to land on which to garden.  The first drawing will include those entries. If there are more plots available after the first drawing, a second drawing will be conducted from the remaining pool of applicants.

Please complete this form by Tuesday, April 30th, to enter the lottery to be assigned a Community Garden Plot. Only 1 entry is allowed per address. The information you fill out in this form is confidential, and only used to assign plots. We will maintain a waiting list for the 2024 season to reassign any plots that may be relinquished.

All gardeners are required to abide by the guidelines described in the Community Garden Policy.

If we receive overwhelming interest for Community Garden plots, the Land Bank will explore other locations to expand community gardens on the island.
