Thank you for your interest in providing content for our next Annual Conference! It's because of people like you that our organization is able to help NC Community College Sociology and Psychology Faculty to continue moving forward as top professionals in our fields.
The NCCCSPA is seeking proposals that reflect the best thinking in our field, informed by theory, research, and practice.
We invite proposals from members and interested parties that include one or more of the following:
- Innovative instructional practices
- Timely and relevant content related to issues pertinent to psychology and sociology
- Solutions related to retention and engagement of community college students
- Research relevant to our practice as instructors, the experiences and success of our students, and professional development
- Best practices in community college and social science education
- Exploration of issues related to curriculum globalization
- Utilization and maximization of technological resources in education
- Diversity, equity, and inclusion

Proposals are invited in the following categories:
- Conference Session (45-60 minutes) - Presenters and co-presenters will provide presentations to the conference attendees throughout the conference. Multimedia, innovation, and engaging, interactive sessions are appreciated.
- Rapid Round Table (15-20 minutes, repeating) - Presenters and co-presenters will lead a series of round-table discussions highlighting current research, practices, or other content related to any of our conference topics listed above. Individual table discussions will last approximately 15-20 minutes, and there will be three to four (depending on the number of attendees) consecutive rotations to allow the maximum number of attendees to engage with each topic. Handouts are appreciated.

Call for Proposals Deadline: September 4, 2023
Proposals will be reviewed regularly, and presenters will be notified by September 15, 2023.
***All approved presenters and co-presenters will receive a discount on conference registration fees. Selected presenters will receive a password that will allow registration at the discounted Presenter rate. If you are unable to attend the entire conference, but still want to present, please contact us at
