Are you interested in writing about healthcare/science and disseminating complicated scientific topics? Then Morning Sign Out is for you! We publish articles on our website quarterly and also operate multiple outreach projects throughout the school year, including our podcast, Morning Sign In.
Mission Statement:
Morning Sign Out: UCLA Chapter is dedicated to the modernization of medicine, both by utilizing cutting-edge platforms such as online publications and social media to promote health literacy among the greater Los Angeles population, and by educating tomorrow’s healthcare providers mentally, technologically, and academically.
Membership Requirements:
As a general member of Morning Sign Out: UCLA Chapter, you are expected to complete the following requirements. If you anticipate that you will be unable to do so, we recommend that you apply at a later time.
- One-year minimum commitment
- Write one article OR edit two articles per quarter
- Attend at least 3 of the 4 biweekly General Meetings (GMs) per quarter. GMs will be held this quarter in Franz 1260 from 7–8 pm. GM #1 will be held on Monday, October 16, 2023; GM #2 will be held on Monday, October 30, 2023; GM #3 will be held on Monday, November 13, 2023; GM #4 will be held on Monday, November 27, 2023 (accommodations can be made for class/exams conflicts or emergencies)
- Attend 1 social or fundraiser per quarter
- Participate in 2 outreach projects per year
This application is due by Week 2 Friday, October 13 @ 11:59 PM PST. Extended until Week 2 Saturday, October 14 @ 11:50 PM PST.
