Parent SBDM Nomination 2023-2024
Garrison School Council Election

May 1, 2023

Dear Garrison School Parents:

I hope you’ll consider running for our school council, or encourage a friend to do so.

In Kentucky, each school has a council composed of the principal, elected teachers, and elected parents who make many of the most important decisions about how their school will work. The council is a wonderful chance to learn about our school, work closely with teachers, and help make our school even more successful than it is now. The parent members of the council are elected by parents. They receive training and will serve through June 30, 2024.

Nominations are due no later than 3:30 PM on May 8, 2023. If you know someone who would be a good candidate, please do encourage that person to run.

The election will be held May 9 - 12, 2023,  via Google Form on the GES website. If you have a child enrolled at Garrison School, you are eligible to vote in this election. (This includes parents, step-parents, and foster parents. Legal guardians are also eligible to vote if the child lives in their home.) I urge every parent to participate in this important decision about the future of our children’s school.

Results will be announced on May 12, 2023, on the GES website.

Thank you for your interest in our school, and please let us know if you have questions.
