Celebrating Our Coastal Uplands Photography Competition

Introducing CUPHAT

Coastal Uplands: Heritage and Tourism (CUPHAT) is a project seeking to work with local communities to showcase the shared and distinctive cultural and natural heritage of the upland areas of the Wicklow and Blackstairs Mountains in Ireland and the Cambrian Mountains and Preseli Moutains in Wales. The project is focused on developing sustainable and regenerative forms of tourism in these areas – in other words, tourism that is owned by and benefits local communities. The project is being carried out in partnership between University College Dublin, Aberystwyth University and the Dyfed Archaeological Trust.

How will your photograph be used?
If you submit a photograph to this competition we may use it a number of ways, but you can choose in the form below which if any of these uses you are happy with. In the first instance we will include it as part of the competition and if successfully shortlisted we will showcase it on our website and social media channels, with your name and caption for the photograph. We would also like to use the submitted photographs to help us highlight areas of interest across the four project areas as part of CUPHAT's wider work. You can choose whether or not to grant us permission to use the photograph, your name and caption in a range of ways in the form below. If you would prefer that your photograph is only considered for the competition and not used in any of these ways your entry, entry form and contact details will be deleted immediately after the competition.

How will your personal data be used?
The contact information you provide in the form below will be used for the purposes of the photographic competition to allow us to record and manage your entry and to contact you in relation to the competition. We will share your information only between the project staff working on the competition in Aberystwyth University and University College Dublin. It will be deleted immediately after the competition is complete unless you are happy for us to use your photograph in the other ways listed in the form. In this case we would keep your contact details securely protected with access limited to only the relevant members of the project team. We would use these only to follow up with you about potential future uses of the photograph.
