The CIVIC Scholars Program
ABOUT: In 2013 the CIVIC Leadership Institute and Old Dominion University collaborated to create the CIVIC Scholars Program which focuses on civic engagement, professionalism, and leadership development. The program runs through the academic year, September to late April, and its curriculum includes regional education programming sessions, community service experiences, professional events, and mentor connections.

The Scholars Program's main focus is to ignite a spirit of civic engagement and prepare in its members and prepare them to enter the professional world upon graduation. We envision a future where the next generation leaves their college career with the knowledge, desire, and network to enact innovative change in Hampton Roads or the home community of their choice.
