As a dues-paying member of the
Arecibo Science and Advocacy Partnership (ASAP), you will be contributing to the effort of advocating on behalf of the former Arecibo Observatory. This iconic facility offered a unique, multidisciplinary facility that facilitated ground-breaking research across many scientific disciplines. By joining and supporting ASAP, you will help us to advocate for a replacement of this lost scientific capability.
You can view our bylaws here.
Dues-paying members are entitled to vote in Board elections, serve on committees, and stand for leadership roles. However, ASAP invites participation from all interested in helping our cause, regardless of membership status.
Statement on Dues: ASAP membership dues are set to support the work of ASAP, such as by paying our administrative costs, paying for travel to speak with policy makers, or supporting students. As such, we ask that all members pay as much as they feel comfortable to support our work, although any dues of $15 or more will allow you to be considered a full dues-paying member. If $15 is beyond your current capability, we encourage you to request a dues waiver.
