IMPORTANT COURSE INFORMATION
Class Times: 6/18, 6/25, 7/2, 7/9, 7/23, 7/30, 8/6, 8/13, 8/20, 8/27 - 7 PM - 8 PM
About the Course: Students will learn about the different fields in psychology and how it applies to everyday life. Each class will involve lectures and an interactive group activity to further extend the students’ knowledge on what they learned that day. By the end of the session, students will get a chance to better their writing skills by putting together a research essay while getting a sense of the outline of professional research articles.
Course Objectives: The goal of this class is to learn all about the human mind. This class aims to teach students about the structures of the human brain and why us, as humans, act the way we do. It will help improve writing and research skills as well as build on map and diagram drawing skills.
Materials Needed: Computer: with google classroom and google slides, paper or google docs to take notes
About the teacher: Romy Yang is a sophomore in high school who is very dedicated and hard working. She has a strong passion in learning about the human mind and she has taken psychology classes at her local college, receiving one of the highest grades in her class. She is part of many psychology related clubs in school. She has a blog on instagram to help spread awareness and advocate for others about mental health. She also plays the violin in the school orchestra as the leader of her section. She is very interested in mystery and psychological thriller books, so she is starting to write her own stories in her free time.
