First: all about me
I'm Marco, an aspiring data scientist! I was trying to cook interesting projects, but since I wasn't finding datasets (containing personalities and preferences) that I liked, I decided to take matters into my own hands. As a lost teenager coming into senior high school, MBTI has been an immense help to me in identifying my preferences and tendencies as a person.
Of course, it has changed over time (and I expect that due to different life circumstances), but I can single out that I have a liking for expressing myself to the people around me, and I am more in tune with empathy than logic. I find that generally I'm in the middle of abstract and pragmatic, and am balancing my organization skills with my exploration skills. In short, an ENFP.
What I want to do
I aim to build a unique dataset correlating MBTI types with favorite movie characters. By analyzing trends, I hope to unveil connections between personalities and cinematic preferences.
Isn't MBTI proved as useless/not scientific?
While MBTI's scientific validity is debated, its utility in self-exploration is undeniable. Despite criticisms, its popularity suggests it holds valuable insights into personal preferences, aligning with our quest to understand movie character preferences.
