Mentoring
The club is interested in creating safe mentoring opportunities between more experienced and less experienced paddlers with the same type of boats on appropriate waters.  These might be arranged on club outings or by helping facilitate connections between interested individuals. If you check a box below, please indicate in the "Other" field, what type of boats and waters you would feel most comfortable in for mentoring. ( i.e. - packrafting on class I upper Chatanika or Chena; solo canoeing on Tanana lakes )
Paddling Skills
The club is considering promoting a series of three or four on water events that would progress from flat water, to gently moving water, to swifter water. These events would be mentored by experienced paddlers who will share their skills with less experienced paddlers. If you check a box below, please indicate in the "Other" field, what type of craft with which you would be most interested in paddling.
Dry Land Clinics
The club is planning several off-water sessions in Spring 2022. We are currently exploring venues, possible presenters, schedules, and curricula. If you are likely to participate in one or more of these sessions, in what topics are you most interested?
Presenter?
Are you interested in helping present a session as part of a clinic or workshop? If so, what topics or expertise would you be willing to share?
Philanthropy
Fairbanks Paddlers has used proceeds from events like the boat swap and film festivals to help support paddlesport skills and safety education, access, and youth involvement in paddling in past years. Are there any programs or causes that you would like to see club support in the coming year?
Communications
Fairbanks Paddlers communicates with members and the public mainly through our website, Facebook page, and groups.io email list. We list upcoming events on a public Google Calendar. Occasionally we use a MailChimp email newsletter to announce events and programs. A few events of interest to the public are advertised through local new media such as KUAC radio or the NewsMiner. Please indicate which of these communications you find most helpful in learning about club activities.
