Sheridan County School District #3 will present two (2) Employee of the Year Awards at the May Board Meeting, the SCSD #3 Board of Trustees will select one (1) Certified Employee and one (1) Classified Employee for the Employee of the Year Awards.
Following are general guidelines and criteria for nominating a candidate and submitting supporting materials.
ELIGIBILITY: Any full-time staff member of Sheridan County School District #3, with two full years of service in the district (includes route drivers).
CRITERIA: The nominee should:
Extend themself beyond basic required duties by displaying initiative and creativity
Be an exceptional, skillful, dedicated employee, and should have knowledge of the school system as it relates to their job
Contribute to the students, school, and District in the following manner:
Enhances the overall performance of the District according to the District Mission and Belief Statement
Create positive relationships with students, co-workers, administration, and the community
Make school safer, healthier and more attractive
Exhibit good interpersonal skills
Utilize in-services and/or trainings to consistently improve and develop skills
Self-motivated to be a lifelong learner
Demonstrate a continuing effort to improve skills outside official duties through formal/informal education or in-service activities
Have a record of exceptional performance and devotion as demonstrated by cooperation, competency, efficiency, special acts, and service
NOMINATIONS: Any individual, group of employees, students or citizens, may submit nominations. Nominations should be made without regard to age, sex, race or religion. Nominations must be accompanied by supporting material.
Nomination forms must be submitted by 4:00 PM on March 30, NO late submission of forms will be considered for these awards.
SELECTION: The Sheridan County School District #3 Board of Trustees will select the Certified and Classified Employee of the Year at the May Regular Board Meeting.
AWARD: The Certified and Classified Employee of the Year names will be considered for recognition at the state level and those chosen will receive a $2000 award from the Board of Trustees.
