What is this sign up for?

As the new coronavirus continues to spread, we recognize that freelance visual journalists and artists are losing significant income for the immediate future, and that many folks in this position will be facing this shortfall without a financial buffer. Volunteers — mainly other photographers who have the capacity — have offered to donate money to those who need it.

With this form, Authority Collective is organizing mutual aid to connect donors with artists and visual journalists who need it. We can't guarantee any particular amount of funding, but we believe every bit counts when it comes to supporting each other. We will be prioritizing requests from freelance visual creators of color.

If you are in need of funds to pay for things like groceries, rent, childcare, self-care, or anything else, please sign up below. We will only share this list with folks within our community offering mutual aid. We will not use or share the info you provide for any other purpose. Requests will be paired with donors every weekend, and distribution will vary depending on donations pledged at that time.

What is Authority Collective?

The Authority Collective is a group of womxn, femmes, trans, non-binary and gender non-conforming people of color reclaiming their authority in the photography, film and VR/AR industries.
