2024-2025 CITI High School Application
Thank you for your interest in applying to CITI High School. CITI High is a cooperative innovative high school that is in partnership with Nash Community College.  Before completing the application, please review the information below.  

Who Should Apply to CITI High School?
     *Students from all cultural, racial, ethnic, socioeconomic, linguistic, and special needs backgrounds.
     *Students who are seeking a hands-on and relevant educational experience.
     *Students who have the academic potential and willingness to accept the challenge to accelerate their future by attending high school and college at the same time.
     *Eighth-grade students who reside in the Nash County Public School district and have successfully completed all requirements for promotion to the ninth grade.  CITI may also be accepting a limited number of rising 10th graders.
     *Students who have a sincere commitment and strong desire to work diligently throughout the school year.
     *Students who are in good academic standing, have acceptable attendance, conduct, disciplinary records, and possess a strong work ethic and study skills.
     *Students who have the social and emotional readiness for attending college classes with adults.

How do I apply to CITI High School?
Complete this application. Once you begin the application you will not be able to save your responses and return to it later.  Please plan to have enough time to complete the application fully before beginning the process.  At the end of the application be sure to click "submit".  You will be sent a copy of your responses to the email address you provided.

Submit your application through the digital submission process located on the  CITI High School website  or the  Nash County Public Schools  website or print and mail it to:

Even if you submit your application digitally, the Verification Form must be signed and mailed to the address above. Incomplete applications will not be considered. If you need assistance with completing the application, please contact the CITI High School Counselor or Principal.  There will also be a  Support Session for Parents on January 25, 2024, at 5pm, for any parents who need assistance completing the application.

How are students considered for acceptance to CITI High School?
     *Grades, End-of-Grade and End-of-Course scores, and other student achievement data will be reviewed to determine the ability to succeed in honors and college level coursework.
     *Student attendance and discipline profiles will be considered.
      *Students who will be the first in their family to attend college, students who would benefit from accelerated instruction, and students who may be under prepared in a traditional setting but would benefit from a non-traditional school setting will be given high priority in the selection process.

What is the application process?
Applications for the 2024-2025 school year are available beginning January 8, 2024.
Applications must be digitally submitted and the Verification Form received at CITI High School by 5:00 pm on March 1, 2024.  
Only completed applications will be considered.
Applications will be reviewed and those meeting the minimum rubric score will be submitted for lottery selection.
Notifications will be mailed out by March 22, 2024.
Students selected through the lottery process will attend enrollment conferences during April or May.
