I am so glad to welcome you back to our school community! I would love to learn about how you are doing, whether you have specific concerns, or would just like to connect. Virtual counseling, like traditional counseling, has limitations. Confidentiality is one area that is particularly affected by the change to a distance format. When meeting with counselors, understand that complete confidentiality cannot be secured. As always, if you or someone else is being hurt, we cannot keep that confidential.  Some things you can do to increase your privacy in a video/phone conference include finding a space in your home that is more private, use headphones when meeting, and make sure your family knows that you are talking with your school counselor.
