We, the undersigned, call upon the Trump Administration to reinstate immediately the H-1B, H-2B, J-1, L-1 and other visa programs. This executive order, which claims to have the best interests of American citizens in mind, is little more than a malicious and xenophobic act that will visit unnecessary hardship on more than one-half million people with absolutely no benefit to others.

Furthermore, we call upon the leadership of all universities, colleges, laboratories, libraries, archives, publishers, museums, and other organizations connected to research, teaching, and higher education to condemn this executive order and to call for its reversal.
