2023 North Cobb Band Booster Committee Interest Form

Welcome to the North Cobb Marching Band family! We are so excited to have your student join our program. We know that your child is in for a great year of music, camaraderie, and fun.

As you know, a marching band cannot function without the help of parent volunteers. There are many different ways that you can get involved, from helping with set-up and tear-down to chaperoning trips. No matter how much time you have to give, your contribution is not only greatly appreciated, but can reduce your student's dues.

Here are just a few of the ways that you can volunteer:

  • Set-up and tear-down for football games and competitions
  • Chaperoning trips and football games
  • Selling spirit wear
  • Helping with fundraising events
  • Handling meals for the band
  • Helping with the band website and social media
  • Taking photos and videos of the band
  • And more!

Some committees are self explanatory, but here's a brief description of the others:
  • Chaperones - Needed for game days, practices, and travel
  • Frontline - Moving and setting up equipment, building and assembling props
  • Banquet - End of year celebration for the organization
  • Spiritwear - Creating and selling NCHS merchandise at football games and other events
  • Sponsorship - Working with businesses for sponsorship opportunities
  • Fundraising - Help discover and run fundraisers for the band
  • Friday Night Meals - Helping with feeding the band on game days
  • Hospitality - Help with events that aren't game days but still need meals or other support, like weekend practices or competition
  • Welcome - Similar to hospitality, but help with events where we have guests, like 8th grade night or hosting special events
  • Color Guard - Specific to the needs of the color guard
