Being a Member at Laval Christian Fellowship implies that we are committed to seeing the kingdom of God grow through our wholehearted involvement. It means that the church is not something we attend, but something we are, and as such, we assume responsibility for helping it achieve its purpose and vision. We are all at different stages in our spiritual growth and, as a result, need to show each other great amounts of grace as we learn to bear with each other’s weaknesses and failings. This Membership Commitment represents your desire to continue growing as a disciple of Jesus Christ and to see LCF mature and fulfill its purpose.

As a member of this congregation, you would have to;
1. Be 18 years and older,
2. Be actively attending LCF,
3. Accept & affirm the church’s;
- Confession of Faith (1689 London Baptist Confession of Faith) and other theological position, all of which can be found on our website.
- Constitution
- Vision & Direction (speak to the Elders/Pastors for more information)
4. Fill out the “Intention on becoming an LCF member” form and submit it to the pastoral staff, who in return will connect and meet with you shortly thereafter.
5. If not baptized; follow a Baptism Course which consists of 1 session and be baptized,
6. A Membership Course is required which consists of 4 sessions,
7. Fill out the “New Membership Commitment” form and submit it to the Elders of the church, who in return will review and confirm their decision to you, before your name can be added to the list of new joining members and be voted in during the yearly Business meeting in March.

This process might seem to be lengthy to you, but depending on when you show interest in membership it can take from 6 to 12 months if not baptized and less than 3 months if baptized. Please keep in mind that this commitment is to be renewed on a Yearly basis, so every year you will be required to confirm your commitment to the body by signing the Membership Renewal form during the Budget meeting.
