The Workplace Health Without Borders (WHWB) Health Care Group is planning to offer an online course on Noise in the Workplace starting in October 2023. This course is intended for professionals (e.g., physicians, nurses, health and safety specialists) who deal with worker exposure to noise. It is best suited to participants with some university or college education in sciences or medicine. The course will run for 6 weekly sessions starting on at a date yet to be determined.
The course will be at an awareness level -- that is, it will not qualify you to conduct health surveillance, audiometry or noise testing, but it will explain the basics of these activities. The course will include a self-study component and online tutorials on Zoom.
For those who can afford it, donations to WHWB will be appreciated. Certificates will be given to students who attend 4 of 6 tutorials and successfully complete an exam.
WHWB is an all-volunteer non-profit organization dedicated to promoting occupational health and safety around the world. Our trainers are highly experienced professionals who generously donate their time to teach this course.
