LSJC - SALE OF CHAMETZ FORM - 2022

The Torah prohibits ownership of chametz (leaven) during Pesach. Therefore, we arrange for the sale of chametz to a non - Jewish person. We make the transfer by appointing an agent, usually the rabbi, to handle the sale. It is a valid and legal transfer of ownership. At the end of the holiday, the agent arranges for return of the chametz to the original owner. *Please complete this form by Thursday, April 14th.*

It is customary to make a donation which the Rabbi allocates those who are in need. Please see the end of the form for donation information.
