Dear Oak Grove Elementary School Families:
As with years prior, our school will be partnering with local churches, Zion Lutheran Church and St. David’s Lutheran Church, to offer a confidential program entitled “Snack Pack” for students at the Oak Grove Elementary School. The churches may be able to provide other opportunities for assistance for families in need. This program is designed to provide healthy food items over the weekend for children whose families are experiencing financial hardships. Please make sure to apply if this is a true need in your family. We realize the students may want them, but we want to make sure that the snack packs are being supplied to the families where the need is the greatest.
Examples of the items included in the weekend Snack Packs are:
Instant oatmeal
Instant grits
Individual cereal
Applesauce
Raisins
Granola bars/cereal bars
Fruit cups
Crackers
