CISE Student Diversity Council Interest Form
The JMU community is proud to announce the formation of the CISE Student Diversity Council. Launching this fall semester, the CISE Student Diversity Council will have direct input to the Dean of the College of Integrated Science and Engineering, Dr. Bob Kolvoord, contributing feedback, ideas, and programs that help increase diversity+inclusion within JMU’s STEM programs.

Moreover, the Dean has been so supportive to suggesting a CISE mentorship program, where recent JMU graduates would have a single mentee to help POC throughout their college experience. He hopes that this program will grow that every minority student who wanted a mentor could.

We have the opportunity as Dukes to lead by example and show that we not only want a diverse community, but we support those from all backgrounds throughout their priceless experience at JMU, and will continue to find innovative ways to do so!
