The Management Professional of the Year is designed to recognise the achievements of PGA Members in roles within the industry which require the use of management skills. Such role is not limited by role title, rather identified by the nominee controlling or managing all or part of a business with direct staffing and budget responsibilities.
Nominations may be accepted by either Full Vocational PGA Members from within the Division or Management and/or a Director from the facility. Where a nomination is submitted by a PGA Member, the nomination must also include a supporting letter from the Golf Club/Facility (Manager or Director).
The 2024 PGA State Management Professional of the Year is based upon the achievements of the PGA Professional in relation to the following criteria:
Primary criterion:
- Club/Facility Performance and Leadership
Secondary criteria:
- Innovation and Strategic Planning
- Marketing, Communication and Promotion of Golf
- ACE Status and Personal Continuing Education
All evidence should relate to the activity and achievements for the past 12 months.
This online nomination form requires the nominator to provide the basis for a nomination only. Once nominated, the PGA Professional nominee will be asked by the PGA to complete the online State Management Professional of the Year Nominee Form providing their own information relating to the four (4) criteria/areas.
Selection Process
Each nomination will be reviewed by the PGA State Member Representatives against the listed criteria and ranked according to their achievements and/or expertise in each category.
The winner of the 2024 PGA State Management Professional of the Year award will automatically be nominated for the PGA National Management Professional of the Year award at the PGA Awards Night to be determined by the PGA Vocational Members Council.
