Mindfulness Class Registration Form
Classes will be held virtually over Zoom, Monday nights 6pm-7pm. Classes will run from October 18th to December 6th. Classes are taught by Tara Lampert from the Alaska Center for Mindfulness, and are free of charge for participants through the Anchorage Youth Development Coalition and the Safe Alaskans grant.

In this 8-week course, students will learn theories and practices of mindfulness and several ways to implement these tools in their daily lives. Students will discover new ways of working with strong emotions, thoughts, and physical sensations through guided meditation, diaphragmatic breathing, and gentle movement as well as through shifting perspectives/re-framing, understanding habit patterns, developing affirmations, and thoughtful self-compassion. Engaged dialogue will be geared towards the students and their specific needs.
