Alternative Pathway to Membership Application

The Alternative Pathway is only available to trained and/or experienced doulas as follows:

  • Experienced doulas with or without formal training (15 or more births and/or 300 postnatal hours)
  • Doulas who have completed comprehensive doula training in the UK or Internationally and have some additional experience as a doula.

Midwives, Birth Professionals and Antenatal Educators are referred to train with the one of our Approved Doula UK Course Providers.  You can find the full list here.

Doulas who have completed training on one of our Approved Doula UK Courses in the last 3 years do not need to complete the Alternative Pathway.  Please refer back to your course leader for your invitation to join Doula UK. After this period, you are welcome to apply for the Alternative Pathway to rejoin Doula UK.
