As part of our goal is to help prepare the students to be able to withstand the pressures of secular thought, many of our high school classes at Lindisfarne are discussion-based. Sometimes, ideas that we might not agree with (or that you might not agree with) are presented or discussed. We highly encourage our students to talk these ideas over with their parents. Are you comfortable with this?

PARENTAL AGREEMENT
Please read the following Statement of Faith and Non-Discrimination Policy. We expect parents to agree
with these (or at least to abide with them). You may add any comments below.
Lindisfarne Hall Statement of Faith (Nicene Creed)
I BELIEVE in one God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, And of all things visible and invisible:

And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only-begotten Son of God; Begotten of his Father before all worlds, God of God, Light of Light, Very God of very God; Begotten, not made; Being of one substance with the Father; By whom all things were made: Who for us men and for our salvation came down from heaven, And was incarnate by the Holy Ghost of the Virgin Mary, And was made man: And was crucified also for us under Pontius Pilate; He suffered and was buried: And the third day he rose again according to the Scriptures: And ascended into heaven, And sitteth on the right hand of the Father: And he shall come again, with glory, to judge both the quick and the dead; Whose kingdom shall have no end.

And I believe in the Holy Ghost, The Lord, and Giver of Life, Who proceedeth from the Father and the Son; Who with the Father and the Son together is worshipped and glorified; Who spake by the Prophets: And I believe one holy Catholic* (*universal) and Apostolic Church: I acknowledge one Baptism for the remission of sins: And I look for the Resurrection of the dead: And the Life of the world to come. Amen.

SCHOOL LIFE
To the extent possible, absences will be kept to a minimum.
Clear selection
The teaching/learning method at Lindisfarne Hall is primarily conversational. When a student is absent he/she is missing important instruction that cannot be duplicated at home or made up with homework. Because of this, most LH classes have a participation grade based on attendance (both excused and unexcused absences affect this grade). Many times after an absence there may not be make-up homework. This is because there is no easy way to make-up a conversation, lecture, narration, or group work without excess work being put on the teacher.
Clear selection
We understand that it is important for students to come to class prepared with all necessary materials and assignments.
Clear selection
We will make every effort to arrive on time each morning, since late arrivals disrupt the rest of the class and disadvantage our child, because he/she misses instruction time.
Clear selection
We understand that certain behaviors, including but not limited to malicious intent, defiant attitude, destructive behavior, violence, and immoral behavior are not tolerated at Lindisfarne Hall, and may result in immediate expulsion of the student at the discretion of the rector.

We are hoping to use a scholarship from the Florida Step-Up program to fund our child's tuition. (If you don't know about this amazing program, look it up at StepUpForStudents.org .  Almost every child in Florida is eligible to receive funds.)
