2020 Sakura Days Japan Fair (SDJF) Volunteer Application Form
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY:

- Application deadline is MARCH 15, 2020

- You must be 16 years old or older to volunteer.

- You must commit to minimum one 6 hour shift on either Saturday APRIL 18 or Sunday APRIL 19 2020. Lunch and snacks will be provided (lunch is only for volunteers with more than 6 hour shift)

- All new volunteers MUST ATTEND the VOLUNTEER ORIENTATION on SUNDAY APRIL 5, from 2 pm to 4 pm at VanDusen Garden (repeat volunteers are optional).

- All volunteer meetings, communications, and activities on the day of the event will be in English.

- This application form DOES NOT GUARANTEE a volunteer position, your choice of shifts, or roles. The Volunteer Manager will contact all selected applicants by MARCH 22, 2020.

- Volunteer roles will be assigned one week before the Volunteer Orientation.

- Sakura Days Japan Fair does not provide accommodation or transportation to volunteers.

- The event is held mostly outdoors and will take place regardless of the weather.

Please indicate your shift availability. Most volunteers will be needed on Sat. April 18 and Sun. April 19, but a few are needed leading up to the event and for Set Up on Friday April 17. You must commit to a minimum of one shift on either Sat. April 18 or Sun. April 19.  *Actual shift times may start earlier or end later **All volunteers with Saturday and Sunday shifts  get to enjoy the event for free before or after their shifts

Volunteer Release of Liability and Waiver of Claim
I accept full responsibility for my participation in any and all Sakura Days Japan Fair events. I am aware that there are risks associated with Sakura Days Japan Fair events and that loss, damage, expense or injury may occur while participating in those events. By choosing to participate in Sakura Days Japan Fair events, I am accepting the risk that I may suffer loss, damage, expense or injury. I have read and understood this Agreement prior to signing it. I am aware that by signing it I, waive any and all claims that I may have against the Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival, the Japan Fair Association of Vancouver, its directors, officers and volunteers and that I release Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival, Japan Fair Association of Vancouver, its directors, officers and volunteers from any and all liability for any loss, damage, expense or injury that I may suffer as a result of participation in any and all Sakura Days Japan Fair events.
