Nishuane (K-2) and Hillside (3-5) Elementary Schools together serve nearly half of the elementary school-aged children in Montclair. The Nishuane and Hillside community believe it is all our responsibility to identify and nurture each child’s individual gifts and talents, above and beyond the core curriculum.

The Nishuane and Hillside PTA come together every other year to host FIREBALL, the premier fundraising event that raises needed funds for both schools. Past funds have allowed the schools to purchase high-impact items above and beyond the schools’ budgets, including:  digital classroom projectors, large format laminator, and upgraded sound system.

This year, Nishuane and Hillside have the goal to raise at least $40,000 ($20,000 each) each to repair or replace school furniture, playground equipment, and hallway display systems (to showcase students' work - art, writing, etc.)

We are seeking in-kind donations to add to the FIREBALL silent auction and we need your help to do it!

Our community’s task is to gather products, services or unique experiences that will hopefully attract multiple bids and a high auction price, so take advantage of your “six degrees of separation”. You never know who you may be connected to through your friends and family, so we ask please share with your friends and family!

There are many ways to help in this big effort.

Donate your Time and Connections:
We are always open for more volunteers to help with the FIREBALL donations and sponsorships! If you are comfortable and willing to take on the challenge to walk our town or use your super connections for in-kind donations and/or sponsorship, we need you! Donate via your Business or Employer:
Check out your company’s corporate donation policies. Many companies will provide item/in-kind or monetary donations for school fundraisers (or perhaps your company may want to become a FIREBALL sponsor).

Donate a One-of-a-Kind Experience:
Perhaps you have access to a cool experience, such as a Wine/Spirits Tour & Tastings, tickets to a popular talk show or Broadway show, or a private, behind the scenes tour of a local business or facility. Experiences are always popular auction items!

Donate Something You Already Have for the Auction:
If you have a vacation home, you can offer a long weekend or a week vacation.
If you have season tickets to a sporting event or the theater, you can donate tickets to one game or show.

Donate Your Expertise for the Auction:
Do you (or one of your family members or friend) have special talent or skill you can offer as your donation experience to teach someone for a special experience auction item, such as cooking, photography, design, babysitting, dance, pet sitting, organization, etc.?
