Wellington South Fencing Club will be running our popular holiday programme in the upcoming school holidays. This is a great introductory course for anyone who is new to fencing and wants to learn the basics. It is also suited to those who have basic experience and are keen to improve their skills. The 4-day course is a fun, interactive and the perfect way to introduce your child to the wonderful sport of fencing!
Our coach:
The holiday programme will be run by Will Bishop who is an internationally experienced coach and high performance athlete. Originally from Wellington, Will has been a New Zealand Fencing representative at Open International level for the past 15 years. He has recently returned from Brisbane, Australia where he has worked as a fencing coach for the past 7 years at School and Club level. Will’s coaching methodology is on the development of Fencing skills for young people through adaptability and helping them to enjoy the sport.
Who can come:
Suitable for beginners and intermediate fencers 8-16 years old
You don't need to be from our club. Anyone is welcome.

8.30am – 12.30pm (pick up from 12pm)

Te Whaea - National Dance & Drama Centre
11 Hutchison Road, Newtown, Wellington
Costs:
$35 per day or $130 for 4 days
Invoice will be issued by email. Full payment is required prior to the start of the holiday programme
What to bring and wear:
Water bottle, morning tea and snack
Wear lightweight exercise top, tracksuit pants and non marking sports shoes
