The gifted students and/or gifted staff have provided outreach enrichment experiences for other students in the school this year and/or in the past. *

I understand that the curriculum for gifted education is guided by MDE gifted regulations, standards, and outomes which require the learning experiences to be "in addition to and different from that of the general education classroom." *
The learning experiences and opportunities in the Discovery program are beneficial and challenging, helping to build the students' abilities in creativity, critical thinking, life skills, research, communication, collaboration with others, confidence, career awareness, and willingness to try new things. *
The Discovery teachers are willing to share materials and teaching strategies, when asked. *
When approached about students having difficulty in the general education classroom, the teachers of the gifted are willing to collaborate with the classroom teachers to address the problems. *
