PhD Woes - PhD Diary submission form
My name is Chia-Yi and I got my PhD in 2018. I know from talking to friends that many of us had a difficult experience. It's hard to talk about openly and many people may feel alone in their journey. That's why I started the PhD Woes section on my blog for people to share their stories anonymously and hopefully help others who are going through similar difficulties. (I go into that a little more here: https://medium.com/phd-woes/welcome-to-phd-woes-2328d931aad5)

This form is for one of the formats that I'm accepting submissions for: PhD Diary, which is inspired by the Money Diary series that's popular on Refinery29. (Check it out here: https://www.refinery29.com/en-us/money-diary)

Other formats that I'm accepting submissions for are stories about specific incidents, advice from people who have finished their PhD, and stories/advice from people who have decided to quit their PhD. If you would like to submit one of these instead, reach out to me directly (see contact me link below). These don't need to be anonymous but can be.

I ask for your name here so that I can verify that you are a real person, but I will NOT publish your name. I also require some other information like country where your institution is based and how many years in you are. Only include as much information in the other questions as you feel comfortable with. I would like to protect your identity so you don't receive any backlash, but you have to use your best judgement on how much detail to include.

Please note that I may make minor edits to the text for clarity. I'll refer to you by your first initial and country where you are based.
