🍃 Topic: Taking on the Climate Crisis
This time it is a guest lecture by Alasdair Skelton. Alasdair is a geologist working on climate at the Bolin Centre for Climate Research. He is also the chairperson and one of the most active members of the non-profit organisation Researchers Desk. The organization's goal is to spread public education about the climate, ecosystems, and societal developments. They work towards this goal by creating meeting spaces between the general public and experts researching these issues. They frequently work with climate activists and can be seen on any bigger climate strikes in Stockholm.
Working at the Researchers Desk Alasdair has big experience in outdoor lectures, and during the Green Walk, he will give the latest version of a lecture around key climate crisis-related issues. The lecture will be built around 5 sentences which define the climate crisis:
1. It’s warming.
2. It’s us.
3. We’re sure.
4. It’s bad.
5. We can fix it.
The questions come from Nicholas, K. (2021) Under the Sky We Make. We will stop at 5 locations, and I would take one part at each location.
Additionally, we will share coffee, tea, and vegan wraps 😋☕
