Starting with a leadership self assessment and a local context assessment, you will explore Teacher Leadership pathways alongside national experts from Northwestern University, while learning and practicing the core competencies required to maximize your impact. Effective schools need effective teacher leaders and effective teacher leaders need support to grow their capacity and impact.
This all virtual Pilot Teacher Leadership Cohort will run through the 2022-23 school year. The full cohort will meet virtually once a quarter and will culminate in a job embedded practicum project that will showcase your impact and growth as a Teacher Leader. You will work with other emerging Teacher Leaders, while being exposed to national experts and coached by experienced educators. More information can be found on our flier.
The full cohort will meet on Thursday evenings, 6:00-8:30pm, on September 22, December 8, February 16 and April 20. You will also receive personalized support from an assigned coach throughout the year.
Teacher Leaders who successfully complete the Pathways Project will receive a micro-credential, along with building their leadership capacity and impact. A generous grant from the National Education Association and financial support from Northwestern University allows us to keep the program cost to $499.
If there are 3 SEA members, we can drop the price down to $399. If we have 5 or more interested, you will be offered the program for $299.
