It is the applicant's responsibility to make sure that steps 1-4 below have been completed.

Admission to Modesto Junior College (MJC).
You can apply for admission at
www.mjc.edu.
2.
Verification of high school graduation or equivalent is no longer required for acceptance into the Medical Assisting Program.
3. If you have attended any college(s) other than Modesto Junior College or Columbia College, official college transcripts must be submitted electronically or by mail to Enrollment Services , MJC, East Campus, 435 College Ave., Modesto, CA, 95350 by the application deadline unless they are already on file in the MJC Enrollment Services. Only official transcripts submitted by the application deadline will be used to determine program eligibility. It is the applicant’s responsibility to ensure that all transcripts are on file and up-to-date.

4. You may submit your application electronically beginning February 1st. Applications will continue to be accepted until fall and spring programs are full or until October 15th.
***SELECTION PROCESS FOR THE PROGRAM***
Applicants who have completed all four of the required courses with a grade of C or better will be accepted first. Applicants who have completed three of the four required courses with a grade of C or better will be accepted next. If there are more qualified applicants than space available, a random selection process will be used. Applicants who have required coursework in progress at the time of application will be considered for acceptance, on a space-available basis, once the in-progress coursework has been completed with a grade of C or better on your transcript. Applicants who have only completed two of the four required courses may be accepted for SPRING ONLY, on a space-available basis.
